Age of wonders 3 stqrting units battle ?2/12/2024 ![]() ![]() you did actually play AoW3/PF, right? I'm asking, because in these games there's literally no justification to take an interesting, niche support unit that could see some mileage with more space over a punch-packing one, nevermind some t3/4 powerhouse. on smaller army sizes a debuff can actually hurt your opponents. With smaller stacks their targeting options are much more limited, this means that your supports have a bigger chance of actually doing something useful. With big stacks the enemy can just avoid units that get boosted by supports and target non boosted units, there is always some good target to attack. this means that supporting them is more important. It's particularly weird in the current game model that has a lot of quirky/support units that just won't see use with limited stack, cause there's no way to justify taking them over raw firepower.
